Hue – Imperial City
Hue, the former capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, is home to a number of ancient temples, palaces, and monuments. The city is well-preserved and is a great place to explore and to learn about Vietnamese culture and history.

The city is surrounded by a moat and walls that are more than six meters in height. Visitors can explore the Forbidden City and admire the architecture and design of the palaces, including the Throne Hall and the Royal Library. Imperial city offers a fascinating insight into Vietnam's history, making it a must-visit destination for history lovers. The city's beauty and serenity are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere will leave visitors feeling relaxed and refreshed.

One of the highlights of visiting Hue Imperial City is taking part in traditional imperial-style cuisine. In the past, Hue was the home to Vietnamese royalty, and its cuisine is similar to the food that would have been served in the royal palace. Known for its delicate flavours, colourful presentation and elegant appearance, the cuisine is both delicious and visually pleasing. Specialties include nem lui (grilled pork skewers), bun bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup), banh khoai (pancake with shrimp and pork) and banh beo (small steamed rice cakes with shrimp).
